The colour of the glowing sun,
The colour of sunflowers fluttering in the breeze.
Dressed in silk and cotton,
Different shades of the same colour,
You exuded a special warmth.
Charming and elegant,
Friendly and lively,
Was it the colour or you that made it cheery?
A smile that radiated like a thousand suns,
Eyes that glowed like stars in the dark,
“Beautiful,” was what everybody said.
The little lock of hair that kissed your cheeks,
Pretty yellow drops in your ears,
You were the sunshine in our lives.
Yellow, bright and chirpy,
Brings back your memories,
Was once your favourite colour,
And now it’s mine!
