National Poetry Writing Challenge- Day 14 is to write a CLERIHEW. It is a four line biographical poem that satirizes a famous person.
Light and fun, perfect for the weekend, did this one with the kids with total respect to the Masters.
Here are my four. Have fun doing some yourself and share it.
MICHELANGELO,
Was feeling rather low,
He had the love apple,
To heal, he had to paint the chapel.
BOB MARLEY,
His hair was snarly,
He got so big,
By doing many a gig.
Valentine Tapley,
Hated Lincoln, so badly,
He promised not to shave and grew a beard,
Wound it around his waist and then he sneered.
CHARLEY CHAPLIN
Did not want to sin,
His poetry just wouldn’t rhyme,
So he stuck to mime.
