That’s a Beautiful Junkyard…

Make space for your-self. Let your house be a home, not a junkyard. Clear your clutter, 1 drawer at a time. Bring a smile to someone’s lips.

Thanks Shalini for the award. It’s really kind of you to nominate me. Will definitely answer all your questions… ( hopefully they are not too tough😊) and yes, it will exactly what I feel, no mincing words.

Even I have the habit of keeping stuff, sometimes really unwanted, just for the sake of memories.

I guess most women are sentimental about little things and tend to store stuff…but if you think it would help somebody else and you’re not really using it then maybe giving it away would be a good idea. I’ve given off a lot of things but there’s still a lot more I could but I hold back for the same reasons as you☺. Let me know though if you do manage to let go of some things. Happy De-cluttering!

Oh yes while cleaning fro Diwali, I did manage to give away a lot of clothes for the only reason that they weren’t worn by me any longer. They were not torn or anything, but I just didn’t wear them much and as much as I did not want to, I gave away some of them.
For the rest things to go, it will take a little more time. 😀

So proud of you Moushmi😘. Instead of lying in your cupboard, somebody is actually smiling now because of you. That’s the spirit of Diwali…lighting up lives.

Absolutely. And the next time, I’d be may be more brave to give away more of unwanted stuff.

Yes…its always the first step that’s the most difficult…soon you’ll forget about the things you gave away as you start collecting again.

Yes, i did feel great after giving away them. 🙂

    Hi Smitha,

yea, it’s really incredible what kind of things we keep for years in our home 🙂

      Hi Ben☺,
Yes it is…we collect and collect and forget all that we’ve collected. Getting rid of it seems tough.

Ben why is it so difficult to comment on your posts. Its forever asking me to enter my name and email id😯

Thanks Smitha. A thought-provoking and practical article. One of my never-ending missions in life is to de-clutter. I found Marie Kwando’s philosophy a useful approach t(that I briefly wrote about some months ago in response to the Word Prompt ‘Bumble’). Always useful to get further insights. All the best!

Thank you Nia for reading and sharing your opinion. I will check out your article too. I am continuously decluttering. With growing children, there’s always enough building up and enough to give away. Do share the post if you think it’s useful. It will help somebody on the receiving end and the giver is really not losing anything. Thanks also for the wishes.😊
