“Sorry” doesn’t do it anymore

sorry1

Can’t get any stronger,

Can’t cry any longer,

Please don’t say you’re sorry…

Can’t take the pain anymore,

Can’t let you hurt my core,

Please don’t say you’re sorry…

Can’t let you fool me again,

Can’t for you, a smile feign,

Please don’t say you’re sorry…

Can’t give you another chance

Can’t to your music, dance,

Please don’t say you’re sorry…

I’m tired, can’t you see?

So Just let me be,

And don’t again say you’re sorry.

sorry

Don’t say you’re sorry because you’re not, had you been you wouldn’t have been hurting someone multiple times in different ways. That is why sorry doesn’t cover it anymore.
What a beautiful post, Smitha. The powerful words laced with desperation and helplessness one feels during such encounters and when you finally decide to close the chapter. You write beautifully ♥️

Thank you so much TW ( is that how I must call you?). Many times, people carry on forgiving forgetting they are being unfair to themselves. It’s important to cut out the negativity. Thank you again for so much praise. You’ve made my day today😊. Xxx

Hahaha! My name is Vageesha but it’s up to to you to call me by any of the two☺️ I know what you mean and you know your heart remembers that betrayal because soon enough it stops you. So you’re so right, it’s better to cut off any source of negativity in the initial stage itself. You too and have a nice day😊

This is quite heart-wrenching Smitha, I can sense the frustration and sadness behind the words.

It came straight from the heart Andrea. You sensed it perfectly. It was the result of pain and sadness. Now I’ve bounced back. Thank you.

Sorry is sometimes a very easy word to say. 🙂

Absolutely ER. It sometimes seems more like a way of saying let’s close this chapter so that I can make the mistake again…especially when it comes to teens 😊

Thank you very much Robbie. I guess we all go through this feeling of being taken for granted and then it’s just necessary to say ” sorry” doesn’t do it. ☺
