Today’s challenge is to write a poem that is based on a secret shame, or a secret pleasure.
When the world’s asleep,
And there’s nobody looking,
When all the lights turned off,
And there’s just the night lamp glowing,
Peace!
When the room door’s shut,
And there’s a sweet silence humming,
When all around is quiet,
And there’s a cool night air wafting,
Serene!
A warm bed, soft pillows…
A throw over my feet, a book to dive in,
And a bar of sheer heavenly bliss…
Indulgence!
