Happy New Year

2019

5th of Jan – Its still January and better still, its the first week of Jan so here it is:

Wishing all my readers’ a very, very happy and blessed New Year. May you have the courage to fulfill your dreams, the strength to do your duty and may the Lord be with you this year.

When I opened the blog on 1/1/19, I realized I hadn’t written since 12th December 2018 and I haven’t been reading blogs either since much longer than that. A big “SORRY,” to all the bloggers I follow. It wasn’t that I was holidaying all the while. One thing and another, life took a toll and there was no way to steer my boat because I was too busy keeping afloat.  But here I’m back again this year after a wonderful week’s holiday that brought a lot of things into perspective.

With the year beginning, I am going to be more disciplined with my writing and reading because it’s something I do for myself, something that both heals me and makes me happy. No matter what I do in 2019 which includes my rising love for art, I will not let this blog down. That is a promise to my readers and to myself.

I am not only going to be writing poetry and posts but I’m also going to be sharing quotes henceforth. I hope you enjoy reading them and continue to support me in the way that you’ll have been doing in the last two years.

I also intend reading all the blogs I follow and trying out a new blog everyday. Because that’s how its supposed to be right? We’re on this journey together and the only way to travel is to support each other.

You may have also noticed that I’ve changed the name of the blog. The last time I changed the name of my blog, I thought I had the perfect name and I’d never change it again though one particular blogger warned me that it would happen again and it did. Life’s about changing and I’d like to believe this blog is evolving.

The new name is ‘Pennings- One Woman’s Journey’  Would love to hear what you think of the new name and the new look of the blog. If you think you could help me make it look better, then do get in touch with me on this blog because I’m anything but tech-savvy.

And now for this year’s resolution. Have you made it yet or have you already broken it? Please don’t say you don’t intend making it because you break it anyways. If that’s your answer then do read the post that I wrote last year – Make those Resolutions in December

Someone told me, “New Year’s just a number.” . What does New Year mean to you? Would love to hear how and why you feel the way you do about New Year.
