In an unknown land

In an unknown land

I ,a stranger

Walked in

Eager

In an unknown land

I, a stranger

Believed

Cherished

In an unknown land

I, a stranger

Beguiled

Disillusioned

In an unknown land

I, a traveler

You, a passerby

Wiser

Very contemplative. I can see a definite shift towards an exploration of your inner self. Well written and the short format gives it all the more incisiveness to the poem. Wishing you progress in your explorations.

Very nicely written and your poem is very powerful and inspiring, Smitha. The ending was superb I the traveler and you the passerby.

So powerful! Is that unknown land the inner self Smitha? Getting acquainted with self too is a journey that is taken only in the realms of solitude, self-discovery is enlightening. 🙂

Thank you so much. When I re-look at the poem thinking of the inner self as ‘the unknown land,’ it transforms into a deeper meaning. This is when the reader provides another dimension and thereby adds more value to a writer’s words. Thank you!

Thanks so much Robbie. Yes, I liked writing it too – felt like it makes a stronger impact because of the fewer words. So glad you liked the attempt. XXX

Nice to have you back, Madam with a refreshing new poem..!! Quite well explained the perplexity of a traveler delving into uncharted waters. Relatable as well. Well written, as usual, Madam.. 😊

Thanks Abirbhav. It feels good to be back. Literally had to break through my cocoon to get this done. Thank you for your warm words. And so glad you were able to relate.

A Cocoon of comfort zone? Yes, cocoons are sometimes hard to break. Again an inspiration from you Madam.. 😀 Glad to have you back.. 😊

I’m not sure if it was a comfort zone or just one that felt like a cage. But thank you so much for your encouraging comments.

And yet, you broke it open, which is what matters. Cages can be golden, but that doesn’t make it less of a cage.
I should say you are the one who is teaching here and inspiring us to break open our cocoons or cages or boundaries. Thank you Madam for sharing..!! 🙂
by the way, I am awaiting your feedback on a recent post of mine, dealing with similar theme.. fingers crossed..

Well, I don’t think I am qualified enough to “educate” you or anyone else. I just try to put forth my observations.
Thank you immensely Madam for taking the time to read my posts. I am so happy that you could enjoy reading them.. Look forward to more such discussions with you and learn more from them.. 😊😊
