How have you been spending time during the lockdown?
Over the last few days, I’ve been rummaging through my wardrobe and drawers in an effort to clear up years of clutter. While I was clearing out my drawers, I found a diary with a write up of our trip to France, sometime in 2015 I think – when France had the hottest summer – something I can never forget thanks to the absence of adequate cooling at the hotel in Lyon. We had to ask for table fans. Fortunately Lyon was a stopover. The next day we went to Paris where the air-con at the hotel was much better. We spent four days in Paris and saw Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Champ De Elysses, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Palace of Versailles, Arc De Triomphe and Musee D’ Orsay. But I’ll write about that in another post.
This post is in memory of Paris. I did this painting of a Sunday market on the bridge in Annecy, France. It’s part of my lockdown series, ‘Places I wish to go.‘ Its based on a painting by Jenny Gore which I found on Pinterest.
