Did these watercolor paintings based on pictures on Pinterest under the series Lockdown Diaries – Art – Places I wish to go
The last time we visited this place was eighteen years ago. Things were so different then – we were younger and it being our first visit to a foreign country I remember it distinctly unlike our more recent travels.
We had to planned to go there this summer with the children. But…everybody knows the reason so I’m not going to spell it out. So, I’ll just share my paintings. Let me know what you think.
I did the above painting on an irregularly cut piece of watercolor paper behind which my husband signed his name using paints (this was when he too decided to give painting a shot). I hate to see anything related to art going to waste so painted on it and covered the messed up bits on the edges with paint.
The below painting is done of A4 size watercolor paper
Can you recognize the place? 🙂

P.S. We picked this guy up from Harrods for our two month old (the only thing we could afford there eighteen years ago). She didn’t care much for it and preferred a little pink camel that we had picked up from a little store close to home. You can imagine my disappointment. Then our second born came and showed interest in him, to my satisfaction. Only the poor thing’s tail bore the brunt during her teething days.
And yet eighteen years’ later he stands – a reminder to go there again and a witness to how far we’ve come.
Isn’t he adorable?
Have a lovely Sunday 🙂 Stay Safe!
