Thursday DOORS : Borrowed

Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments below, anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time),’ is what Norm from Miscellaneous Musings says.

Like I said two weeks ago that I would borrow if I had to, I have done exactly that. I hope it still counts. I’m not sure where the idiom ‘Beg, borrow or steal,’ came from but it means ‘to do whatever is necessary to get something.’ It’s harmless and on the contrary shows a determined mind. I’m not making excuses for the fact that after rummaging through all the photographs I have ever taken, I can no longer find any pictures of doors other than those I have already shared here. Borrowing was the only option. So, I did it from my next of kin- my only sister.

I did not have to resort to begging or stealing. I asked and I received.

Below are pictures of two beautiful doors that happened to be in her album. One even has her posing against it.

Church of Saints Peter , Prague

I’m not sure if she planned her outfit to match with the door but it does look cool, doesn’t it?

This ornate neon pink door is the entrance to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul near Vyšehrad Castle in Prague.

Cellar door, California

The picture of this wooden door was taken in Napa Valley, California.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures of doors this week. Hopefully, next week with the Diwali holidays beginning, I’ll have pictures of my own to post. However stay on the safe side, I’ve asked my sister to stay on the lookout for interesting doors 🙂

Want to join in on the fun and share your own Thursday Doors post with other door lovers? Then simply add the link to your post in the comments section of this Thursday’s post.

And last but not the least I leave you with a ‘door’ quote shared by a friend.

Cheers,

Smitha

Thank you Andrea for asking. Had a quiet Diwali because we lost my grandma and uncle in September. Hoped to see things better but dad’s been hospitalized. Hoping things will be fine.

I’m very sorry for the loss of your grandma and uncle and that your dad is in hospital – it’s always hard at those times of celebration when we’ve lost people or are worrying about those we care about.
