A review of my Art by Robbie Cheadle

It’s overwhelming when someone you’ve only known virtually not only buys your work but also writes a beautiful review of your work too. More so when that person is a bundle of talent herself. Robbie Cheadle of https://robbiesinspiration.wordpress.com/blog/ is not only a whizz in the Financial sector, a poet and an author with several books to her credit (one of which I am currently reading) but also a baker, who makes the most beautiful cakes and fondant (she shares her recipes on her site alongwith book reviews and all the other things she does to support fellow bloggers). When Robbie, a friend I made when I began blogging, ordered a painting for her home, it helped me break out of my cocoon and I felt ready to share my work with the world. So, Robbie was instrumental in making SpacesbySmithaV happen.

Below I share Robbie’s generous review of my painting. It’s a pleasure to see ‘Winter Dreams’ hanging on a wall all the way in her beautiful home in S. Africa.

My blogging friend, Smitha Vishwanath, started painting at the beginning of the pandemic last year. I have been watching her improve and stretch her creative wings with oil paints and watercolours and I am amazed by her progress and talent. A couple of months ago, one of her paintings caught my eye and I bought […]

I should say ‘Thank you,’ Robbie for such a generous review and for encouraging my art by picking up a piece. Thank you for being a wonderful friend💛

This is so beautiful, the painting and the fact that it’s been bought and is hanging in South Africa. As I commented on Robbie’s site: Art travels and blogging brings you places. <3 To many more one persons like this!

So true Manja. Just the idea that I know Robbie virtually (we’ve stayed connected since I began blogging) but that virtual relationship has resulted in something physical as a painting hanging on her wall makes it so special. Honestly cheers ‘to many more persons like this!’ 🙂 You totally got how I feel about this.

Where’s the applause emoji when you need one? You are incredible, Smitha! From banker, to blogger, to published poet, to successful artist, you are truly an inspiration to those who yearn to unleash their creative spirit, but fear to take the first step towards doing it.

He he…thanks Mona. You don’t need an applause button. Your words are applause enough. Thank you so much for cheering me on. It means so much to me❤. I’m no successful artist…just someone who took the plunge. I’m grateful to those who loved my work and were supportive.
And I hope like you say there’s somebody out there who feels inspired to take the leap of faith and does what they’ve longed to do.
