My latest artwork is a painting of hydrangeas and lilacs on a wooden bench in the countryside. The painting is done on a 18″ x18″ canvas using acrylic paints. It is inspired by an artwork by a Russian artist.

With this painting, I’m going back to watercolors. I don’t intend picking up a canvas until I do a few watercolors first. There’s just so much of art I want to do and learn, that I’m finding it difficult dividing my time fairly between art, writing, blogging and reading. I feel writing and poetry have faded into the background. I don’t like the fact that they have but I find there’s no point in fighting it – words can’t be forced out. They come when they have to. Until they return, I must carry on with art, reading and blogging.
