Closure
Is it possible to weep without a tear,
a whimper or any other sound
and without your breath racing?
Is it possible to grieve without fear
Of everybody being around
with nobody knowing?
It happens in the blink of an eye
When your picture on the wall I pass by
I see you smiling and my heart wails
My brain doesn’t fight my heart-
it numbs the pain
Until I regain
my composure.
This is my closure-
That I’m able to sweep
it all; under a facade of calm, and not weep
without the tears falling
and anybody knowing

This is incredibly moving, Smitha. For some of us, the pain of loss is slow to dissipate and be replaced with only the good memories.

Thank you dear Robbie for reading and sharing it. I’ve been feeling this for long and I couldn’t understand it. I’m just glad I was able to finally put what I was feeling into words.
