Art : Sublime

This time I selected a picture using a limited color pallette. Since the color mix involved different shades of dull brown, the biggest challenge was ensuring the painting did not appear a muddy mess. The painting is of everyday objects- a kettle, a dish cover and a bowl. Getting the texture of the metal of the kettle, the glass of the cover and the bowl while ensuring each of the surfaces reflected light as per the texture was challenging and fun.

Below is a close-up of the painting. Now, you can see what I mean.

Now for another closeup of the painting showing the entire setup.

And finally, the entire painting. Its inspired by a painting by artist Nono Garcia. Its done using Camel beginners watercolors on Brustro A4 size paper.

Would love to know what you think of the painting.

The kettle looks perfect! I love the colour. It would have been a huge task to blend them right? So beautiful, ma’am ❤️

Thank you so much Hemalatha for your appreciation. It was a difficult task because it seemed so easy to make a mess with the color :).

I love especially the body of the teapot, just right, shiny and curvy. And the part from where the water flows too (my English is limited).

Thank you dear Manja so much :). Your comment is very encouraging.
You mean the ‘spout’. I know it only from the poem we learnt as children – ‘I’m a little teapot, fat and stout. This is my handle, this is my spout.”
