Some Sundays are more beautiful than others. I woke up today, wondering what I should write about and feeling exhausted after sitting endlessly at my desk for two days, editing my debut novel.

On waking up, I did what I do every day- stretch for my phone, check Whatsapp, Facebook, WordPress, and email and then roll out of bed. Before you advise me on why I should not be checking my social feed, first thing in the morning, I want to say, ‘Trust me. I got this :).”

Anyway, I opened my mailbox today and imagine my surprise at receiving this email from SpillWords Press for my poem- Two years since you left (the one I wrote for dad) on the second anniversary of his passing.

The mail said-

Dear Authors,

We are reaching out to let you know that you all have been nominated for ‘Author of The Month’ for January & February –
