Last but not least, here’s today’s (optional) prompt. Begin by reading Sarah Gambito’s poem “Grace.” Now, choose an abstract noun from the list below, and then use that as the title for a poem that contains very short lines, and at least one invented word.
Here's my poem 'Courage' Fear, knots my gut clenches my heart- a fishbone stuck in my throat. It's thorns puncture my epiglottis/ epithelium making it bleed. The luminal surface bruised, bears scars, thickens. Coradens*. And Courage is born. Impermeable to crashing waves. Impregnable. Impervious to defeat failure envy. Iridescent like the northern light sparkles in the eye. Incandescent shatters darkness, fear, looms tall. Radiates. Infecting those around. *coradens/coradening- hardening because of courage
