via Daily Prompt: Or

Got the daily prompt today- ‘OR’. Strange at first I thought, but this is what sprung out of it…a poem around the insignificant, simple, seemingly petty “or”.

Should I wear this OR that?

Should we have a pet dog OR a furry cat?

Should we eat Chinese OR Indian?

Are not questions that are alien…

Should I cut my hair short OR keep it long?

Is this the right thing to do OR wrong?

Should I say it  OR not?

Is a question that I’m eternally fraught… (with)

Should I take this path OR the other?

Will it bring happiness OR bother?

Is this the right time OR later?

Are questions that probably do matter…

Where there is the existence of an “OR”,

There is a mind and heart at war,

Crazy confusion OR just too many an option?

OR maybe there’s still another dimension…

Let it not pin you down OR hold you back,

Let there be no fear of failure OR attack,

Take the chance now …OR else forget,

With confidence and faith… OR  else regret!
