On Day 17 of the NaPoWriMo challenge, we had to write a poem that could easily be turned into a song. I had written NaPoWriMo : Day 17- The Night’s My Refuge

When I wrote the poem “End the farce”End the Farce… “, someone commented saying holding on sometimes was more difficult than letting go, to which I replied, I agree. Holding On and Letting Go are equally important but one just needs to know when to hold on and when to let go.

I wrote another one today based on Holding on, which I believe could be made into a song. Let me know what you’ll think. Any singers, aspiring music writers in the group, you’re welcome to try it out. Would love to hear it, if you try.

For not letting go,

When we had a row,

For holding on,

When I was gone,

For sticking around,

When we were unbound,

For a faith so strong,

That saw no wrong,

When I did not care ,

For believing in “us”,

When I felt love was such a fuss.

For the journey so far,

I so thank my star,

For helping me see,

I and you were meant to be,

For everything you did, it seems,

I got to live my dreams…

For not giving up,

When all I ever wanted was a  break-up,

For not turning your back,

When to walk away, I had such a knack,

For not listening to me,

When a part of your life, I did not want to be…
