Today’s challenge is to write a poem that starts with a command. It could be as uncomplicated as “Look,” as plaintive as “Come back,” or as silly as “Don’t you even think about putting that hot sauce in your hair.” Whatever command you choose, I hope you have fun ordering your readers around.
My poem for the day, ‘Write back!‘
Write!
your thoughts and feeling
When you read my writing
It's a piece of my heart
I'm sharing, so, do your part, and make a start.
It's fine if you don't like what I have to say
You don't have to stay
Maybe,
One message, was all it was meant to be
But, imagine, if we were meant to meet
What a shame it would be if you didn't greet?
Who knows we may have been friends, neighbors, brothers, lovers
In a different life
and time.
This connection
in a world of seven billion
It's Kismet, reincarnation
or divine intervention.
How else can you explain
it? Let it not go in vain.
Who knows
what we'll learn,where it goes?
Let's take this opportunity to complete
what was left incomplete
You've got another chance to get it right *
Write back!

P.S. I absolutely enjoyed writing this poem. It’s something I believe in, that every connection we make across the distance, talking to people we may never meet, sharing our thoughts with them is nothing short of magical. It’s a mystery why and how we click with some people over words and nothing more and how others we spend our lives with, without ever connecting.
