How much is ‘too’ much?

Is it too much to expect

You- to listen to what I have to say?

When you share every dream and fear with me

Is it too much to expect

You – to understand that you’re all I have?

When I left all that I had behind, for you.

Is it too much to expect-

you to know how lonely I feel?

When you’re busy knitting dreams for the two of us.

Is it too much to expect-

You to know that I’m waiting?

That I want nothing more

than for us, to be together

Forever

How much is ‘too’ much?

I wish I knew…
