I am hopeful that your poem signals that you are coming out of the great grief of your double losses in September. For me, when acceptance begins after mourning, it is replaced by gratitude. I am able to pore over fond memories in my heart and give thanks for having shared my life with the loved ones who are no longer with me in a tangible way. They are always with me, I carry them in my heart.

  Yes it does. I have let go…except for the sweet memories. Its just the suddenness of it all that I find hard to accept/ digest. Maybe not attending the funeral is another reason that I haven’t had closure. I dont know but I have parked it and set it aside.
