Tanka Tuesday: Fly like a butterfly

This week’s #TankaTuesday prompt from Wordcraft poetry is to write an ekphrastic poem based on the below image provided by Reena.

Here’s my tanka, which is a Japanese form of poetry with a syllable count of 5/7/5/7/7.

My wings opened wide
Over the divided earth,
the fish in the sea,
the flowers and the green leaves
I fly in faith, without fear.
