She is a Queen

They say she is a Queen

Not that she is but that’s how she’s seen-

Something about the way she walks

Something about the way she talks,

She knows no fear and speaks her mind

She is gracious and kind,

She’s braver than the rest

When put to the test,

She stands out in a crowd,

And she’s not loud!

 

She’s exudes a quiet confidence, in her eye

They don’t understand how or why,

Her mother always said, “Imagine you are a Queen-

-strong and fair…”

“Not a Princess… but a Queen, who’s not afraid to dare”

And so she believed; she was a Queen…

And that’s what they saw, ‘A Queen!’

For if you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand!

    This poem got me smiling! I recollected the ‘some royal ambitions that involved a Princess and her marriage ( removing herself from social media included), a royal marriage 😉
    As always, beautiful, Smitha. I am sure every word there has so much more between the lines. Ones I love to hear – soon.

        AAh! I am glad at least a bit of it was right. Don’t forget to tell me this too (we have a list already made, just the date and venue to freeze) Trust me, I was smiling from ear to ear, I even told P that I just might some day get to write about it or even be on the guest list 😉 Yup! After Megan anything is a possibility!

    Telling a child to behave like she is a queen is a lovely way to telling her to act with confidence. If you are confident in your behaviour people tend to treat you with respect.
